CHAMPS Contributes to Environmental Sustainability

CHAMPS offers significant solutions to reduce carbon emissions, a topic widely discussed globally, through its GIG economy model. Currently, with nearly 1,000 active independent workers, the company has reduced carbon emissions equivalent to planting 16,000 trees. Furthermore, they estimate that if more than 18,000 members work from home instead of commuting, 4,000 tons of carbon emissions could be prevented annually.

It has been found that the remote working model leads to a 34% reduction in food waste. It is known that 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions are caused by food waste. Through CHAMPS’ GIG economy model and its more than 18,000 users, an estimated 500 tons of food waste could be saved annually, which could contribute to the healthy nutrition of 800 million people suffering from hunger worldwide.

Approximately 70% of electronic waste consists of toxic components. Globally, 40 million tons of electronic waste are generated each year, which is equivalent to throwing away 800 laptops every second. However, since CHAMPS’ more than 18,000 members use their own devices, they do not contribute to this waste. Mahir Tüzün, Co-Founder and Director of CHAMPS, states that one of the company’s strategies to reduce carbon emissions is to alleviate traffic congestion. Additionally, he highlights that the flexibility of the GIG economy allows companies to easily scale their workforce and save up to 30% on customer service costs.

CHAMPS works with brand ambassadors to help companies significantly reduce their customer service costs. This model also enables companies to quickly respond to demand surges and customer service needs.
